Brian Swift - Résumé

Thank you for looking at my portfolio. I’m a career producer/designer with in-depth experience in the gaming industry, creative department management / art direction, nuts-and-bolts video graphics production and graphic design. I spent fourteen years at International Game Technology developing video slot games. Currently I’m developing casino games with a talented development team at Ainsworth Game Technology.

My earlier work experience ranged from print to industrial to architectural design with side trips into teaching, screenwriting, indie film, musical performance and indie comic book publishing.

At IGT I was responsible for the look and feel of products and major brands with worldwide visibility, as well as the creation of original products that defined IGT’s global brand. I am the inventor and/or co-inventor of 8 game design related patents.

My output has included production work in Adobe Creative Suite, motion graphics, UXD, GUIs, game design, storyboards, digital and traditional illustration, graphic design, logo/type design, character design, 2D/3D animation, particle effects animation, motion capture direction, sound design and musical performance as well as video/audio editing and digital photo-retouching. Also, print and industrial design, alternative-brainstorming, conceptual art and pitches and presentations for design review.

As a creative department manager I have art directed and supervised a team of 16 3D Artists and a team of 13 Sound Designer / Composers. I was involved with hiring, firing, employee reviews, managing department budget, production pipelines, inter-departmental communication and 3rd party developments. While managing, I continued to design, working in almost every area of digital art production along the way.

I’m proud of my reputation as a hard-working, quality-minded professional. Also, for respect and recognition I’ve received for my originality and visual style. It’s been my pleasure to work with Creative teams and find ways to inspire and motivate their best efforts.

Thanks again for looking and for your email comments on my work.
